TOMAS RAAE : POETIC TERRAIN / SENSE OF VERITY:

My 4th album under my own name is released. It’s been super fun and exciting to make, and I’m quite satisfied and proud of that…!

These are dreamy cinematic soundscapes in an atmosphere of quiet contemplation.

The music is created from field recordings gathered in Scandinavia, analogue synthesizers (especially my Moog Music and my KORG US polysix), vocals and stroked double bass – processed electronically. I have focused on intensive responsiveness, elongated and open sound – and I think you can actually hear the Nordic musical heritage and nature in it (or is it just me??)

The numbers are named after the places where the field recordings come from. The cover is a picture from Iceland, set up by Jakob Thorkild Overgaard, who has also acted as an indispensable sparring partner and friend in the process. I did the mixing and mastering myself, so I’m also a little proud of that.
